2023 Dudley Marrows Memorial Trophy Dinner
The 2023 Dudley Marrows Memorial Trophy Dinner was held on Wednesday 6 December 2023 in the Air Force Room at the Navy, Military and Air Force Club in Adelaide, and Sunderland Branch Secretary, Rick Hattam, was there.
2023 marked the 74th Sunderlanders Dinner, which was originally established by the Air Force Association NSW Branch.
The three nominees for the 2023 Dudley Marrows Memorial Trophy were all technical specialists (TECO’s) and each demonstrated FLTLT Dudley Marrows’ values of Courage, Integrity, Compassion and Leadership.
The three nominees were SGT Perry Williams, CPL Darren Maylon and LAC Robert Kohler.
CPL Darren Malyon was the recipient of the Dudley Marrows Memorial Trophy, which was presented by 10 Sqn Commanding Officer, Wing Commander Marija Jovanovich - herself a previous winner of the Trophy.
Following the award, Rick Hattam (AFA Victoria Sunderlander Branch Secretary), had the honour to present the story of his father 401562 FLT Ricky Hattam MID - a traditional part of the evening where a Sunderlander descendant traditionally shares the story of their Sunderlander father.
The dinner was a great success with attendees enjoying a marvellous meal and lively conversation.
