Bursaries Awarded to Worthy Young Recipients
At its AGM on 19 February, the Vietnam Veterans Branch again presented Educational Bursaries and Encouragement Awards to three deserving grandchildren of AFA Victoria members.
This year the three applicants were all related to Vietnam Veterans and included Eva Bialobrzeski who is commencing a Bachelor of Nursing degree, Declan Douglas, about to start his final year in Biomedicine, and Charlotte Manikhot, who is beginning the second year of a Bachelor of Psychological Science degree.
Vietnam Veterans' Branch President Chris Hudnott thanked the three young students for their applications and wished them well in their studies and future careers.
The first bursaries were awarded in February 2010 and since then have assisted over 35 young students of Air Force veterans with their education or training endeavours.
