The Air Force Association actively participates in all major national commemorative events and extends the hand of camaraderie to those who have served or are serving, and their families, through social gatherings and reunions.
We owe it to our current and future veterans to honour and uphold our Air Force heritage and proud tradition of service.

25th Anniversary of Australian Service in Timor-Leste
On Friday 20 September 2024, a National commemorative service marking the 25th anniversary of Australian service in Timor-Leste was held at the Australian Peacekeeping Memorial on Anzac Parade in Canberra.
Australian service in Timor-Leste spanned 1999 to 2013 and included personnel from the Australian Defence Force and the Australian Federal Police, as well as civilians.

ANZAC DAY 2024 - ADDRESS BY WGCDR DARYLL TOPP
In keeping with 2024 ANZAC day theme of Peacekeeping, AFA Victoria Vice President (and former Peacekeeper), Wing Commander Daryll Topp (Retd) was invited to deliver the keynote address. WGCDR Topp was deployed to Sinai Peninsula as a peacekeeper with the ANZAC contingent in 1983 as part of the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO).

180 People Attend the 2017 Annual Pilgrimage to the AFC Memorial
On a beautiful Spring Sunday, the 19th November 2017, around 180 people made the Annual Pilgrimage to the AFC Memorial RAAF Williams Point Cook to witness the unveiling of the Commemorative Plaque and remember those who served and those who serve.
