ANZAC Day Lunch
It is proposed that the annual pre-ANZAC Day lunch for veterans and their families will be held at the hangar on Saturday 23 April at 12 noon.
The cost per person will be $20-00 for the sit down lunch...........
The meeting was opened at 10.20am by our Vice-President Graham Collis, with 27 members in attendance and 23 apologies.
Our Patron, Group Captain (Ret.) Carl Schiller, addressed the meeting, reminding RAAFA members and families having difficulties due to Covid that help was available from his organisation. He went on to comment on the good number of volunteers who had returned to our hangar after the lockdown. He concluded by wishing us well for 2022........
LIVE STREAM: A wreath-laying service will be held at the Shrine of Remembrance at 11am on 23 March.

Just a little something to keep you going.
Greetings all, due to Covid 19 restrictions in Victoria, greater Melbourne seems to be at the epicentre of an unwelcome second wave. The hangar must remain closed to visitors and volunteers, in line with Victorian Government regulations in order to minimise risk.......
Our second remote (via email) committee meeting was held on 16 May. This new way of doing business was a bit strange to start with but, with guidelines established and confidence gained, a lively and productive meeting was achieved and
was completed within the time agreed too. Our main business was discussing the hangar reopening, OH&S responsibilities and hangar security.........
It is with regret the Committee of Management made the decision to shut down the hangar and cease restoration activities. Our security systems remain active and monitored.........
