Air Force Centenary (AF2021) - Commemoration Event

 An Opportunity to Attend an Official Commemoration Event in our National Capital

Air Force Association, on behalf of AF2021, is seeking expressions of interest from former Air Force serving members who wish to attend the Flag Raising Ceremony and Queen's Colour Parade in Canberra on 31 March 2021.

Expressions of interest to attend this event will be accepted until 31 October 2020. Attendance numbers are strictly limited.

Event Details:

Flag Raising Ceremony:  Blamey Square, Russell, hosted by Warrant Officer - Air Force, Fiona Grassby (0715-0745), followed by breakfast in the Russell Precinct (0800-0900).

Queen's Colour Parade:  Rond Terrace, Parkes.  Guests to be seated by 1000 hours.  Parade will commence at 1030 hours. Expected conclusion by 1200 hours.

• Guests are limited to former serving Air Force members from any State/Territory, who may be accompanied by one guest (spouse, carer, companion, etc.).  Attendances are limited.

• Travel (to and from Canberra) and accommodation for attendees is the responsibility of those attending the event. 

• Veterans’ inclusion is subject to the status of COVID-19. This will be determined by the AF2021 event organisers towards the end of 2020.

• AF2021 will issue formal invitations to successful applicants in late January 2021. AFA will notify those who submitted an EOI if the veteran component is cancelled due to COVID19 in November.
