Branch - 2 Squadron

The 2 Squadron Branch of the AFA Victoria disbanded shortly after the Annual General Meeting in April 2022. 

However, in the interests of recording the history of the Branch, this section of the website contains a collection of the regular newsletters, articles and photographs that were published here between December 2018 and April 2022.

In Memory of Two Brave Squadrons

On 19 February, as the bombing of Darwin in 1942 was re-enacted with air raid sirens, guns and fighter planes, WWII veteran Brian Winspear, 98, was there to unveil a long-awaited plaque in recognition of his fallen No2 and No13 Squadron colleagues.
